YOURI DOMINIQUE

Youri Dominique is an artist, entrepreneur, and change management consultant. As co-founder of the Montreal hip-hop group Rainmen, he was among the pioneers who helped shape and promote Quebec rap in the late 1990s. The group’s debut album, Armageddon, sold more than 17,000 copies across Quebec, Ontario, France, and the Benelux, paving the way for a career marked by major tours, festival appearances, award nominations, and numerous collaborations. Over the years, Rainmen also released the albums Bi’ne$$ Légal and Comme si c’était hier, while celebrating the 25th anniversary of Armageddon with new projects.

Alongside his artistic career, Youri Dominique earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from UQAM before building a career spanning more than twenty years in information technology and organizational transformation. A PROSCI-certified change management consultant, he advises major public and private organizations on digital modernization initiatives, drawing on his expertise in governance, change management, technology adoption, and artificial intelligence.

Driven by a desire to better support creators, he founded HITstory, a platform dedicated to music discoverability, followed by DJpool.club, a service designed to facilitate the promotion and distribution of new releases to professional DJs. These initiatives reflect his commitment to bridging the gap between artists, technology, and new career development models.

Deeply involved in Quebec’s cultural sector, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Harlem du Nord Festival, chairs the Board of Directors of the Association de musique urbaine du Québec (AMUQ), and contributes to the work of Montréal’s Night Council (MTL 24/24). Through these various roles, he works to strengthen collaboration between artists, cultural organizations, and industry stakeholders.
