Three New Faces Join Artisti’s Board of Directors
On April 16, three new members joined Artisti’s Board of Directors: Kevin Bazinet, David Dubé and Karina Gauvin. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise will broaden the Board’s skill set and contribute to even stronger and more dynamic governance.

KEVIN BAZINET

Kevin Bazinet first gained attention as a teenager by posting cover songs on YouTube, catching the eye of celebrities like Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens and becoming one of Canada’s most-followed young artists on the platform at the time. At 17, he signed his first record deal with EMI but stepped back due to anxiety. In 2015, he made a powerful comeback by winning La Voix, captivating over 2.7 million viewers with his performance of “Jusqu’où tu m’aimes” His debut album Talk To Me went Gold that same year. After an extensive tour across Quebec, Kevin shifted his focus to creating Bazinet Studio, where he now combines music production and teaching, sharing his passion with the next generation of artists.
David Dubé

A long-standing entrepreneur in the music industry, David Dubé has worn many hats — artist, producer, publisher, and founder. After working with Virgin Records and Cirque du Soleil, he launched High Life Music in 2002, which later evolved into Kartel Musik, broadening its scope to include artists like Manu Militari, Caracol, and Jonathan Roy. David has produced major shows in Quebec and internationally, including Stone (a tribute to Luc Plamondon) and Plamondon Symphonique. A multiple Félix Award winner, he was named CEO and Executive Vice President of Avalanche Productions in 2024, overseeing major events like M for Montreal, Mundial Montreal et HUB Montreal, while continuing to lead Kartel Musik. As of 2025, he also co-directs the Santa Teresa Festival.
Karina Gauvin

World-renowned for her mastery of baroque repertoire, soprano Karina Gauvin also shines in works by Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Britten, and contemporary composers. She has performed in Europe and America with prestigious orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and Les Violons du Roy, under the baton of leading conductors like Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Charles Dutoit, and Michael Tilson Thomas. With nearly 60 recordings to her name, Karina has garnered numerous awards, including Juno and Opus prizes and several Grammy nominations. In 2024, she won an International Opera Award for the rediscovered opera Fausto by Louise Bertin. Her latest album, Marie Hubert, fille du Roy, is currently nominated for a 2025 Juno Award.
